Custom Web Apps & Digital Tools

Small, practical digital solutions built around the way your business actually works.

Not every problem needs a big software project.

Sometimes you need a simple web app, an automated process, an AI assistant or a better way of getting information from A to B.

I build lightweight digital tools that solve specific problems without turning the solution into another project to manage.

Tell me what you’d like to make simpler

Don’t turn a simple problem into a complicated software project.

Many businesses and organisations don’t need a huge bespoke system. They need a small tool that does one particular job really well.

I start by looking at what you’re currently doing, where you’re spending too much time and where unnecessary complexity has crept into the process.

Then I work out whether technology can make it simpler.

That might mean a lightweight web app, an automation, an AI process, an API integration or simply connecting things you already use.

The technology should fit the problem — not the other way around.

What I build

I take a real-world problem and work out how technology can make it simpler.

Custom digital tools can be surprisingly small and focused. The aim isn’t to build more software. It’s to remove some of the friction from the way you already work.

Lightweight Web Apps

Browser-based tools that do one job well — from live event information and dashboards to calculators, planning tools and internal utilities.

AI-Powered Tools

Practical uses of AI built around a specific task or workflow, rather than adding AI simply because it is fashionable.

Business Processes

Turn repetitive manual processes into simpler, more consistent digital workflows.

Data & API Tools

Connect information from different services and present it in a useful way, without forcing people to work across multiple systems.

Ecommerce Tools

Practical tools that work alongside existing ecommerce systems to improve product data, content, customer communication or day-to-day administration.

Email & Communication

Simpler ways to create, polish, personalise and send business communications without forcing everyone to learn complicated email software.

Things I’ve built

These aren’t theoretical examples. They are real tools and products I’ve developed to solve specific problems.

Snas.app™

Email without the email software headache.

Snas is a deliberately simple AI email service. Instead of opening a complicated email marketing platform, users can simply write an email in the way they normally would. Snas polishes it, gets approval and sends it to the appropriate list.

If you can use email, you can use Snas.

AI Intro Box™

An AI-powered digital receptionist designed to help website visitors get answers, understand what a business does and move towards the right next step.

It can connect with existing tools such as calendars and meeting platforms, allowing it to become part of an existing business process rather than another standalone system.

AI Lead Box™

A lightweight AI tool for businesses that want to turn website visitors into useful email conversations.

It can generate relevant newsletter ideas and sample content based on the business and its website, helping remove the blank-page problem from email marketing.

ClubMail™ & ClubMail™ Pro

Simple, reliable email communication for clubs, societies and community groups.

Built by a club, for clubs. ClubMail™ lets committees keep using their existing email addresses and normal email software, while handling membership lists, sending permissions and delivery in the background. It provides a straightforward way to send everyday club communications and important announcements without wrestling with complicated mailing-list systems or being forced into a newsletter service.

Your committee keeps sending emails as normal. ClubMail™ makes sure they reach the right people.

Galgle Maps

A lightweight mapping concept built around a simple idea: standard maps don’t always understand the question you’re actually asking.

Galgle Maps explores combining mapping, route information and AI to make geographical information more useful for practical journeys and planning.

Race Weather Watch – Live Weather Tools For Events

A live weather application built for a sailing race, combining multiple forecast models, an interactive race route, hourly wind conditions and race-window analysis into a single mobile-friendly page.

It brings together live API data, multiple weather models, model agreement, route-specific forecasts, hourly conditions and a race-day countdown.

Originally built around a specific sailing event, the approach can be adapted for sailing races, regattas, sailing club sessions & sailing areas, outdoor events, gigs, concerts, agricultural shows, road races, cycling races & events, marine & maritime events, parades and other situations where people need clear, location-specific live information.

Start with the problem, not the software.

I don’t start by asking which software you need.

I start by asking what you’re trying to achieve, what you’re currently doing and what is taking too much time.

Sometimes the answer is an existing tool.

Sometimes it is a simple automation.

Sometimes it is an AI process.

And sometimes a small web app is the simplest answer.

1. Tell me the problem

What are you doing manually? What keeps getting repeated? What is unnecessarily complicated?

2. Find the simplest solution

We look at what already exists before deciding to build anything.

3. Build a lightweight solution

The aim is something useful, understandable and practical — not a giant software project.

4. Improve it as you use it

Real-world use usually reveals the best improvements.

Built for people who don’t want another complicated system.

You don’t need to be a technology company.

This can be useful for small businesses, family businesses, clubs and associations, event organisers, ecommerce businesses, professional services and community organisations.

It’s particularly useful when you’re using several disconnected tools, dealing with repetitive administration or simply thinking:

“There must be an easier way of doing this.”

What do you spend too much time doing?

You don’t need to know what technology you need.

You don’t need a technical specification.

Just tell me what you’re trying to do and what currently makes it difficult, repetitive or unnecessarily time-consuming.

I’ll help work out whether there is a simpler way.

Tell me what you’re trying to make simpler

No big software project required.

Hendley.ie is about making technology simpler.

From lightweight web apps and AI tools to ecommerce, email and business processes, I build practical digital solutions around real problems.

Don’t turn a tool into a project.
