Voiceover & Audiobook Narration

Irish Audiobook Narration by Seán

I provide clear, natural and engaging audiobook narration for authors, publishers and independent writers. My focus is on delivering performances that are authentic, easy to listen to and faithful to the tone and intent of the original work.

I specialise in a warm, conversational style that suits both fiction and non-fiction, with a focus on clear, engaging narration that is easy to listen to.

What I Narrate

I provide narration across a range of genres, including:

  • Biographies and memoirs
  • Business and career titles
  • History and Irish-related works
  • Literary fiction
  • Personal development and non-fiction
  • Children’s books (where appropriate in tone and style)

My Approach

Good narration is about more than simply reading words aloud. It is about understanding rhythm, meaning and intent, then creating an enjoyable listening experience from beginning to end.

Every project is approached with care and attention to detail, ensuring:

  • Clear, consistent audio quality
  • Accurate and faithful delivery of the text
  • Natural pacing and phrasing
  • Respect for the author’s voice and style

Experience

Before moving into audiobook narration, I spent a number of years producing spoken-word audio for the conference industry. My work included editing recordings of academic conferences, seminars, workshops and presentations, authoring them for publication on CD and later as podcasts.

That experience developed a keen ear for spoken-word production, audio quality and careful editing—skills that transfer naturally to audiobook narration.

Alongside narration, I also work with self-published authors through my marketplace, ShopStreet.ie, giving me a practical understanding of the publishing journey and a genuine appreciation for the work that goes into bringing a book to readers and listeners alike.

About Me

My background in business, communication and writing has given me a strong appreciation for clear language and thoughtful storytelling.

Outside work, I’m a husband and father who enjoys dinghy sailing on Galway Bay, weather permitting. I also write short humorous observations on everyday life and am currently developing a personal project exploring the language and terminology of sailing. Writing has given me an even greater appreciation for the care, craftsmanship and passion that every author invests in their work.
